求伦敦奥运会闭幕式时原绿洲乐队主唱身后的一名贝斯手名字。
绿洲乐队于1991年在英国的曼彻斯特组建，当时他们的名字叫“Rain”，乐队的成员分别是：Liam Gallagher（主音歌手），Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs（吉他），Paul "Guigs" McGuigan（贝司）以及Tony McCaroll （鼓）。不久，曾经作为Inspiral Carpets乐队巡演工作人员的Noel Gallagher（Liam Gallagher的哥哥）加入了乐队，作为乐队的歌手、吉他手以及词曲作者。乐队决定改用Oasis这个名字，并开始了排练。
